Job Description
Position Overview
The Assistant Buyer supports the Buyer in managing daily operational and administrative tasks related to purchasing and supplier coordination. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate data, monitoring sales performance, and ensuring smooth communication between suppliers, the warehouse team, and the buying department. The Assistant Buyer is expected to be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently while developing the skills required to grow into a Buyer role in the future.
Key Responsibilities
Data Management & Reporting
Update and maintain all category master sheets on a weekly basis to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
Prepare and maintain daily and weekly sales reports to support business analysis and decision-making.
Ensure all data related to products, orders, and suppliers is accurately entered and updated in internal systems.
Supplier Coordination
Communicate with suppliers regarding claims, product issues, and discrepancies.
Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely resolution of claims.
Maintain professional communication with suppliers to support smooth business operations.
Warehouse Coordination
Coordinate with the warehouse team to update claim statuses and product issues.
Ensure warehouse feedback and supplier updates are properly documented and tracked.
Operational Support
Handle data entry and administrative tasks related to suppliers managed by the Buyer.
Support the Buyer with product information, order tracking, and operational follow-ups.
Assist in maintaining organized records and documentation related to purchasing activities.
